Edge-to-Edge to Display
From the many leaks that surfaced way before the launch, we were pretty sure that the Samsung Galaxy S* display would be of an edge-to-edge model. The launch just confirmed that the display would be of a 18:5:9 aspect ratio.
What is new is that the home button is given amiss and embedded in the display to make the screen look and feel whole. The Samsung Galaxy S8 hardware comes with IP68 dust and water resistance, at par with the latest iPhone models. The device will remain safe from moisture damage up to a distance of 1.5 mi. A read 12 MP camera with dual pixel sensor and 8 MP front cam takes care of the imagery duties.
Built in-house, probably in association with Qualcomm, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have Snapdragon chips amped up by 10 Nanometers. The upgraded chips will make device unlocking using facial recognition faster. A 4 GB LPDDR RAm will fuel the multitasking chores seamlessly. 64 GB in-built ROM scalable up to 256Gb through microSD will give sufficient room for all your storage requirements. Both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will run on Android 7.0 Nougat with.
The iris scanner from Note 7 has found its way into the Galaxy S8 series making device security literally impossible to replicate. Also, the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the rear and positioned near the camera for quick reach. Other security measures like password, PIN, pattern are also made available.
